petang 14.01.10, I got called from Dr Azam.

Me: Ya. we have the same routine now. Why doc?
Dr Azam: ok. you guys bersiap. We're going to Gunung.
Me: hah?( suprise+excited) Kita nak hike gunung ke? nak tido sana lah ni??
Dr Azam: Haha. No lah.. The place called Gunong. Ada kuda sakit sana.
Me: Ok2! kami bersiap sekarang.
OMG!! I am totally excited. Haha.. Got some drama coz Pam's got date with her Ex-english lecture from matrix. But ending2 dia pergi jugak. Alhamdulillah. Ada kawan. Hehe
It took us like 40 minutes to reach there. Rupanya. I've been there!! Masa pergi rumah zatty dulu.

This field trip makes me interested doing specialist in Equine. Plus, I've found out that i'm natural in dealing with horses. They let me touch them and play with them. Kalau deal with horses, kita kena confident. kalau kita takut, mereka pun takut juga tu. Just tunjukkan anda yakin, and go for it!
Tips dealing with horse;
1. Confident! jangan takut takut.
2. Bila tengok telinga dia ke belakang, stay away! Kuda tu mahu gigit. Ahaha
Facts about colic
1. Can be defined simply as abdominal pain.
2.Common in horses because of the design of their gastrointestinal tracts, which includes numerous bends, or “flexures” for food to pass through.
3.common signs of colic include rolling, kicking at the abdomen, lying down more than usual or repeatedly lying down and standing up, sweating, an increased rate of breathing, and standing with the body stretched out, as if the horse were going to urinate.
4.Guidelines to help reduce the risk of colic.
(a) Feeding. Horses should be kept on a regular feeding schedule, and at least half of the diet should be hay or forage. As much access as possible to forage should be provided. In addition, hay and water should be given before grain, and excessive grain intake should be avoided. Hay and grain should also be monitored to be sure no mold is present.
(b)Water, which should be clean and readily available. However, when a horse is overheated, it should receive only small amounts of lukewarm water at a time.
(c) Horses should be kept on a regular exercise schedule, and any changes to either diet or exercise should be made gradually.
Colic ni ada category dia. From mild to severe. Tapi yang paling teruk adalah 'Volvolus' atau 'Torsion'.
Colic yang jenis ini terus sebab intestine kuda itu twisted. So, there's no way we can correct the twisted intestines. So, immediate surgery is required. That's why Owner kuda must be alert of their horses and colic as well. Kita tak mahu colic ni become severe. Lebih-lebih lagi kalau kuda tu mahal kan. Macam Arabian breed ka. Kalau kuda champion lagi, alangkah ruginya tu.
